DEAL MADE WITH LAOS TO FIGHT BORDER DRUGS

Thailand and Laos have agreed to work more closely to combat drugs along
the border.

The agreement was made during a meeting in Udon Thani yesterday.

The meeting was observed by the United States Drug Enforcement Administration.

The two sides agreed to set up six more coordinating centres for the
exchange of information on trafficking.

The centres would be be located in Chiang Rai's Chiang Saen district, Bo
Keo's Huay Sai in Laos, Uttaradit's Ban Khok district, Sayaboury's Thung
Meechai district, Loei's Tha Li district and Sayaboury's Ken Thao.
