CANADIAN PANEL WOULD LEGALIZE MARIJUANA
A Canadian parliamentary committee recommended yesterday that marijuana use
by adults be legalized. The nonbinding report by the Senate Committee on
Illegal Drugs said Canada should adopt a system that regulates marijuana
the same way as alcohol, and should expunge criminal records for marijuana
possession.
