MAINSTREAM MARIJUANA

I CAN just hear it now in homes throughout the country, "Son, go down
to the corner store and get a bag of milk, loaf of bread and a pack of
marijuana. And don't forget the chips, because when I'm done toking
all that dope, I'm gonna get the munchies."

Let's look at the good side of legalizing marijuana, if there is one.
It would provide jobs in farming, processing and retail. Instead of
growing corn or soy beans in the fields, farmers could grow marijuana.
And we would need the processing plants to dry, separate, roll and
package the marijuana. Then we would have to retail them like
cigarettes. I wonder what they would be called? How about Craven Eh?
Or how about calling them Extra High or Light Headed? Once they're
ready for retail, we can buy them at liquor stores. Of course, the
government would tax the hell out of them, like everything else in
which people like to indulge.

Marijuana contains some 400 different chemicals. The main chemical,
THC, can cause short-term memory loss, affect co-ordination, learning
and problem solving. However, some people say that it's better to use
marijuana for pain than some pain medication. And the debate goes on.
I couldn't care less as I don't smoke marijuana. But what about when
people want cocaine, crack or heroin to be legal? Then what?
