POT GIVEAWAY BAD NEWS

What could our City Council be thinking - a pot giveaway at City Hall?
Whether or not we agree with the law, this is an illegal act. I ask that
Mr. Krohn, Ms. Reilly, Mr. Primack and Mr. Kennedy think about what message
they are sending to our youth - that it is permissible to flout the law and
disregard authority because you think it is OK? What message are you
sending to the drug dealers - welcome to Santa Cruz and anything you want
to do is permissible here?

I commiserate with the dedicated men and women of our police department who
risk their lives each day and night trying to make a difference by
combating the corrosive effects of rampant drug abuse, despite the
permissible attitude of local government.

If medical marijuana is really so beneficial, why wouldn't the
pharmaceutical corporations adhere to their usual avaricious pattern of
business and synthesize and sell pot at great profit?
