SENATE'S POT RECOMMENDATION SENSIBLE

To the editor:

As an American addiction psychiatrist, I highly praise the members of the
Canadian Senate's committee on illegal drugs. They have recommended
legalizing marijuana and regulating it via an integrated public-health
policy. Their report is common sense, eloquently articulated by political
leaders -- a rare and precious commodity in our troubled times.

I sincerely hope your country follows their recommendations, as my
country's leadership on this issue qualifies it as certifiably insane. Good
