MORE USERS WITH LEGAL POT, BUT FEWER DRINKERS
Editor, The News:
Perhaps letter writer Frank G. Sterle, Jr is correct ('Legalizing marijuana
use will result in more tokers,' Opinion, Sept. 5).
But the net result will be positive because there will be fewer consumers of
alcohol.
Most users of marijuana don't drink alcohol.
But those that do, drink less than non-marijuana users.
I don't know what the Canadian alcohol vs. marijuana kill ratio is, but in
the U. S. it is 100,000 to zero.
