A CASE FOR LEGALIZED POT
The issue with Scott Brannan makes the best case for marijuana legalization
that has come to light.
I have seen many people go to prison for more years than Brannan for
selling a $20 rock of cocaine to an undercover narcotics officer. These are
people who are addicted and only supporting their habit.
The actions of the people involved in advocating for Brannan are either
dimwitted about the circumstances of the many people incarcerated for
possession of narcotics for sale or are without ethics.
I don't have a problem with the leniency given to Brannan. My problem is
with the inequity of the "system."
County Attorney Rick Romley can't claim such ignorance.
