Rod's Message
Zion -- I am offended by Rod Blagojevich's admission. By example,
Blagojevich has given the indirect message to young people that it is OK to
experiment with drugs, that experimenting with drugs has no consequences.
At the very least, Blagojevich should have said that he was wrong, that
experimenting with drugs is incredibly stupid, that what he did was illegal
and could have sent him to jail, and that he was sorry. At the very least,
he should have apologized to his parents. I heard none of that.
Instead, his admission only reinforces the myth that "youthful dalliances"
are harmless and without consequence. His comments were morally ambivalent
and that sickens me.
