MAYOR LAUGHS AT FEDERAL LAW

I have a suggestion for all who support the City Council, the County
Supervisors and Mayor Krohn.

The next time you need some extra cash look for a kid on your block and
kidnap him. Oh, be sure not to hurt him, not even by accident, and feed him
well, give him TV, videos, etc., until his folks come up with the $10,000
you may really need to feel better. Then release him unharmed. The parents
will understand.

Think how good it will feel to have that extra ten grand in the bank. Sure,
it is illegal, but this is Santa Cruz and as Mayor Krohn and the
supervisors have shown, we laugh at federal laws here. If it doesn't hurt
others, it's okay.

One last thought. That sign on River Street needs to be changed to read:
"Welcome to Santa Cruz, where breaking the law is a way of day- to-day life."

The rest of the world may be laughing at us, but what do those law- abiding
crazies know?
