CANADA'S DRUG POLICY IS NOT SOVEREIGN
I'm writing about Paul Willcocks' outstanding column, Feds Mum On Bogus
U.S. Bust (www.merrittherald.com, Sept. 4, 2002). While I agree with most
of what Willcocks wrote, I believe he is making an erroneous conclusion
that Canada is a sovereign, independent nation.
If Canada allows the United States' politicians and bureaucrats to bully
Canada into not passing drug legislation that is in the best interests of
Canada, Canada should no longer consider herself an independent, sovereign
nation. But rather an obsequious servant to the U.S. politicians and
bureaucrats.
