HUGE POT FARM FOUND IN NATIONAL SEASHORE
A Brentwood man was booked on drug charges after federal officers found a
huge pot garden in the Point Reyes National Seashore.
About 2,700 marijuana plants worth $1.5 million were uprooted, officials said.
Pedro Cano, 22, of Brentwood was charged Monday in federal court in San
Francisco with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, a Drug
Enforcement Agency spokesman said.
Police found more than 100 damaged trees, holding ponds dug into the
hillside, and an extensive irrigation system linked to a spring half a mile
away.
