LEGALIZED MARIJUANA USE COULD DO YOUTH MORE GOOD THAN HARM

Regarding Jeff Vircoe's column "Sifting Through A Smoke Screen" I would like
to agree that the answer does lie with the children.

In the Netherlands children smoke marijuana and do other drugs at less than
half the rate of their North American counterparts.

The same trend continues throughout adulthood. They also live in a society
with a lower rate of violent crime.

Canada should lead North America in the same direction by doing as the
Netherlands has done.

Separate Marijuana from the hard drug market and adopt a strategy proven to
be successful. Good Luck!
