BIG POT

If marijuana were legalized, how long would it take before lawsuits
targeted Big Pot?

Would plaintiffs sue the marijuana manufacturers for diseases linked -
either through real science or dubious claims - to the weed?

Would the states sue the industry to recoup costs in the treatment of
maladies - e.g., various cancers attacking women's reproductive organs -
associated with marijuana use?

Would an aggressive chief of the Food and Drug Administration win liberal
cheers by denouncing greedy companies that profited from marketing drugs
whose residual effects may damage the brain?

The makers of drugs and devices approved for medical uses have been sued.
Would pot prescribed for pain relief also come under assault?

Marijuana may or may not be decriminalized, legalized, or approved for
stipulated circumstances. But if it does appear in the marketplace, even in
controlled situations, then Big Pot will be sued.
