SOFT ON CRIME? YEP, THAT'S MATSUNAKA

Every day we hear of another child abduction, another drug-related
shooting, or another rape. We do not need people in public office who are
soft on crime. I hope that Coloradans in the 4th District, then, do not
support Stan Matsunaka in his quest for this congressional seat.

In 1996, Matsunaka voted against mandatory minimum jail sentences for
burglars, users of "explosives and incendiary devices" and drug offenders.
He also opposed a bill that would allow the use of deadly force to stop a
violent crime in progress, including rape and murder! Coloradans should be
shocked, as I am, at this. First, Matsunaka leaves law-abiding citizens
unprotected by our legal system and then opposes a bill that would allow us
to protect ourselves.

I want a representative in Congress who is tough on crime. I want someone
who will work for me, a law-abiding citizen. Stan Matsunaka is not that
person. His record speaks for itself.
