POT SMOKERS

To the editor:

I find it interesting that so many of the letters in favor of legalizing
marijuana are from out of state. I have seen them from California, Oregon,
Washington, D.C., and even the metropolis of Shorewood, Ill.

Why is the rest of the country so interested in what happens here in Las
Vegas -- unless this has nothing to do with medical uses, but more to do
with partyers getting high. If you are in favor of legalizing three ounces
(a massive amount, as much as a three-month stash for a casual user) are
you also so interested in legalizing other, low-cost medicines? Where were
these other interested parties (no pun intended) when we, the state of
Nevada, wanted to lower prescription costs?

Let's face it, this is nothing more than an attempt to make another illegal
drug legal.
