DEATH OF A TRUE HEROINE
To the Editor:
I was deeply saddened by the tale of a true heroine.
You report (front page, Oct. 18) that Angela Dawson, along with five of her
children, was killed by a drug pusher who set their home on fire because of
Mrs. Dawson's work fighting crime and tipping off the police.
Mrs. Dawson was not just a "neighborhood crusader" against drugs. She
should be known as a person who pointed the way to safety, regardless of
danger.
People can consider her a valiant American and a role model of what we can
and should be as citizens.
