WELFARE - REQUIRE DRUG TESTS

This is in response to the Oct. 29 letter that objected to the drug
testing of welfare applicants.

I am employed in the public sector. I am subject to random drug testing.
Positive results would result in my termination. I was in the military and
subject to random drug testing.

Many businesses today require pre-employment drug screening, with positive
results resulting in a no-hire outcome.

If the letter writer wants her hard-earned money (taxes) to go to welfare
applicants who are using drugs, that's her choice. I just don't want mine
going to support their habit. I think that most taxpayers will agree with my
thoughts on this issue.
