Re: "Calgary ecstasy bust sets record," Oct. 30.
The police must be using the same fractured math that Jean Chretien is
using to push Kyoto forward.
A $52-million seizure of ecstasy which would make between one million and
1.5 million tablets, puts each pill at between $35 and $52. Ecstasy is said
to sell for about 10 per cent of those inflated prices. The figure must
include the cost of trying the case, housing the future inmate and paying
the salaries of everyone involved in the arrest.
