WISCONSIN TOO UPTIGHT ABOUT YOUNGER CROWD
I am sickened by the rave scene being pinpointed as a social gathering for
drug users. If the Racine Police Department is so hard-pressed to stop all
of this, why not stop the bar and club scene? From what I see, that
promotes drinking, and I see plenty of people using illegal substances
there, too.
Wisconsin is too uptight with these restrictions. I have gone to a few
raves; I am not a user of illegal drugs, and I still enjoyed myself. I
agree that I don't want drunks and druggies driving our streets, but if the
party is contained and people are responsible, I do not see the problem. I
didn't hear of any problems that were caused by the rave. Did anyone?
I am an amateur disc jockey, and it bothers me that electronic music is
also being targeted. I suppose I am to assume that if I were to listen to
rock and rap, I would be stereotyped as a person who smokes marijuana. I
guess I will just listen to oldies and country from now on so I am not
stereotyped. No thanks!
