Safe-Injection Sites Need Review

Jon Ferry's column on enforced abstinence made for very interesting
reading.

When even John Turvey, who began the first needle exchange program in
Canada, admits to the shortcomings of safe-injection sites designed to
stem the tide of HIV and AIDS, it's time to take another look.

Mr. Turvey also thinks safe-injection sites would boost the drug
industry in the Downtown Eastside?

What rational person would deny his right to this opinion after his
experiences?
