TOO QUICK TO JUDGE

As the parent of a Semiahmoo Secondary student, I was quite interested in
statements by school trustee candidate Heather Stillwell.

According to her, drug-sniffing dogs will be focused on south end schools,
like Semi, particularly.

Stillwell has a history of being out there pontificating with quickly
arrived at opinions. She and a privately operated dog squad are set to rush
in where the RCMP fear to tread--the RCMP must have probable cause before
engaging in such snooping.

Fortunately, this is election time and we have opportunity to reflect on
whether schools ought to be operated by people who are so opportunistic and
quick to judge.
