SUPPORTING ADVOCATES FOR FINANCIAL AID CHANGES
Fact: the higher a person's education, the less likely they are to use drugs.
Fact: the higher a persons education, the more they can benefit society.
Fact: Unless we want more drug-users, the portion of the 1998 Higher
Education act mandating students or prospective students who have been
convicted of any drug-related offense to be denied eligibility for federal
financial aid should be repealed.
Kudos to the University of Rhode Island Student Senate and everyone else
who understands that and is trying to make a change!
Thank you for your consideration,
Jason Marrs
