SPECIAL TREATMENT

I would like to ask a few questions to the 86th District Court. What would
happen to a regular person who gets caught smoking marijuana? Do they get a
second chance? Do they get treatment? I think not; they get put in jail (or
prison) for the offense they committed. Why is it certain people in our
society get special treatment by the police and courts?

It was stated in the Record-Eagle on Nov. 8 by Judge Haley, "I believe that
this conduct is the result of substance abuse ... " Well then get him
treatment to help him, but the courts should also get the other people
treatment who are in court on marijuana charges. I don't understand another
thing - Don't people who work for the courts have to take drug tests? If so,
was it covered up or wasn't it in his system?
