STOP JAILING CANNABIS USERS
I strongly disagree with a recent letter writer's persecution of medical
marijuana "Crimes and justice," Nov. 13). Cannabis (marijuana) is a much
less dangerous substance than many legal substances, and it's irrational to
require that citizens who use cannabis must be caged.
Cannabis has never caused an overdose, never produced a cancer death and
compared to booze and cigarettes, is a much wiser choice for a person's
health. In fact charts show caffeine is twice as addictive as cannabis.
Biblically, medically and recreationally, many citizens use cannabis
(marijuana) responsibly and are tired of various forms of government
discrimination and lies directed toward them. At the very minimum, North
America must relegalize cannabis, especially when you consider the worst
side effects of cannabis are police inflicted.
Instead of caging humans for using cannabis, accept cannabis (known as
kaneh bosm, before the King James Version) for what it is as described on
literally the very first page of the Bible (Genesis 1:11-12 and 29-30).
