WAR ON DRUGS IS A FAILURE

Thank you for your recent editorial advocating the legalization of marijuana.

An unpopular view, except that the people of West Virginia are aware of who
are the beneficiaries of our overly restrictive drug laws. It's the pushers
and cartels, stupid!

Our "War on Drugs" is a failure and their illegality makes crime enormously
profitable. It would amaze me if great amounts of laundered drug money were
not being funneled to our hidebound, misguided lawmakers.
