NORTH CHARLESTON RAIDS

I read the front-page article on the raids in North Charleston. Please,
tell me they really weren't going to arrest a woman at 3 a.m. for not
returning a video? Surely they had a hint that there were drugs in the
residence and they were using the "video" warrant as an excuse? Oh, please,
tell me that was the real reason. I cannot fathom arresting someone for not
returning a video; I suppose if I owned a video store, I'd be a bit more
sympathetic. But surely with the budget constraints of the North Charleston
Police Department, they wouldn't waste their expensive manpower on
something such as this? I was glad to see the raids rounded up others that
were responsible for more serious crimes, but give me a break on the video
warrant! I'm not criticizing the officers who had to carry out the task,
just the person who ordered it. I'd love a response about this.
