EXPERIENCE NEEDED

Were I 16 years old, I would probably wholeheartedly agree with Audrey
Goodsen's assessment of drug testing in public schools. However, with many
years tacked on to 16, a life lived mostly in the military where drug
testing is a standard operating procedure and now reintroduction into the
civilian world where drug testing for employment is pretty much standard
fare, I have to declare that her view of the situation is given without the
benefit of an education in the University of Hard Knocks.

Taking illicit drugs is not a right guaranteed under our Constitution. In
an attempt to protect the rights of students who do not take drugs, I
believe that the school systems should conduct urinalysis testing, and for
those caught offer punishment as well as counselling.

I would like to see what Audrey Goodsen's opinion is regarding drugs when
she has tacked on about 25 more years, has children of school age and is
well on her way to a master's degree in life from the University of Hard
Knocks.
