KY. TROOPERS INHALE METH FUMES DURING ARREST
Suspect Opened Door To Working Lab
Two Kentucky State Police troopers were taken to a London hospital
yesterday after being exposed to methamphetamine fumes while arresting two
Laurel County residents.
At 9:45 a.m., Kentucky State Police said troopers Joe Schenkenfelder and
Don Trosper experienced difficulty breathing, characterized by frequent
choking and coughing, after resident Frank Hoskins, 43, opened a bathroom
door, releasing the fumes from a working lab.
Ambulances took both troopers to Marymount Medical Center in London, where
they were treated and discharged about two hours later.
Frank Hoskins, 43, and Josette Hoskins, 30, were arrested and charged with
manufacturing methamphetamine, and are being held in the Laurel County
Detention Center in London, police said.
