HELP FOR 'SICKNESS'

This is in regard to the Record-Eagle's Nov. 22 newspaper headline that
stated, "Bar board calls for Gilbert to resign." I expect Attorney Jarboe,
Judge Rodgers and the governing board of the bar association in the area are
undoubtedly correct in their assumption that Judge Gilbert should resign or
step down for crossing the line of propriety.

"We're not trying to kick anybody when they're down." I do not know Judge
Gilbert but I would bet he is "down" and also he has a "sickness" he is now
trying to get help for. Of course what he did was totally improper but the
governing board's pronouncement that he should resign just did not strike a
good chord with me.
