THREE CHEERS FOR WEED

Premier Roger Grimes is not alone ("Grimes in favour of legalizing pot,"
Dec. 12) preferring full legalization of cannabis (marijuana).

Not Far Enough

The present recommendations do not go nearly far enough.

While cannabis is less dangerous than booze or nicotine, and you can buy
cartons, cases and truckloads, why must someone having two plants or two
bags of cannabis be caged?

Still, allowing citizens to have about an ounce of plant material, is a
credible and crucial step, bringing much needed drug law reform.

And, oh, Canada, may you influence leaders in the south, to see the light.
