LIBERALIZED POT LAWS ROAD TO RUIN

Editor, The News:

What a no-brainer this is.

Semi-legalize marijuana.

People in possession of marijuana will be fined.

What about age limits?

Is the legal age limit the same as for tobacco products? If it is, then we
must ask ourselves what makes more sense. The legal age for cigarettes is 19.

What will it be for pot?

Are we then charging the underage for possession of tobacco?

As soon as government figures out the licensing and taxing of pot -- and I
am sure some bright civil servant is working on this already --
distribution will be legal, as it is now with booze and tobacco.

So you grow your own.

What will be the criteria for that? One plant, two plants, three plants?

Or will we count the same way we do for escaped Atlantic farmed fish?

What are the proponents for the new marijuana law smoking? Or are they into
magic mushrooms?

The whole object of the exercise seems to be job creation, for the ranks of
law enforcement, government regulatory departments and, lest we forget,
shysters and ambulance chasers.

Law enforcement officers will be required to carry scales instead of guns.

Mind you, guns in the hands of police will soon to be abolished anyway
since it will be illegal for them to defend themselves, in case they do and
the unfortunate crooks get blown to hell (where they belong),.

We shall look forward to the legalization of pornography, child molesting,
incest and all the other perverted aims of twisted members of society.

You think I am out of my mind? Look around you. What do you see?

You are no longer safe to walk to your bus to go to work. There is no
punishment for anything criminals are doing.

Why bother to look for murderers? Employing teams to investigate?

All we end up with is another inmate on holidays, benefiting with medical
and dental care.

Compare this to Asia.

An episode, told to us by a recent visitor to the Far East, concerns a
traveler who, while on a train, had his camera stolen. Reporting this right
away to the conductor, a search of the train found the camera and the thief.

An official apologized to the visitors and they were presented with a free
ticket to come to the execution of the thief.

Now there is the kind of justice we should be demanding, not the kind of
hogwash practiced now and promoted by Amnesty International.

Today's laws and the perverted practice of it will no doubt lead to the
destruction of Christianity and all it is supposed to stand for.

I said it before and I will say it again: Legalize all drugs and sell it
for peanuts.

This way, idiots will self-destruct and unburden society while others will
recognize their folly and with the right support of family and friends,
will quit.

Thirty grams of wisdom, more then the amount of brainpower that is around
in political circles proposing this 30 grams of pot legislation.
