OUR KIDS WILL SUFFER FROM POT BLUNDER

Once again I see a pattern of incompetence forming with yet another justice
minister from our Liberal government. They have announced that they are
about to legalize the growing and possession of small amounts of marijuana
for personal use.

I acknowledge that there are positive effects to be had for cancer patients
and others with advanced diseases suffering with debilitating pain, but to
broadly legalize this drug for all to use will have ramifications that will
be devastating to our already struggling health-care system.

Marijuana is clearly a harmful drug that poses a threat to our children at
a critical point in their development and if abused, likely to the future
of our nation.

Considering the Liberals refused to accept advice from experts on the
creation of useful gun legislation, I'm going to take a shot in the dark
here that history is about to repeat itself. Sadly, the cost of this
incompetent blunder will be much more than money.
