HYPOCRISY

By the way, David Smith, (letter in Dec. 30 Herald-Tribune) most people who
use cannabis started with tobacco and alcohol not to mention their mother's
milk. And when they were pulled away from their mother's breast, they
displayed all the signs and symptoms of addiction to "meth" or anything else.

By the way, David Smith, the drug is called "meth" today because if we were
truthful and called them "bennies" everybody familiar with the 1970s drug
culture would laugh at the present day demonizations.

By the way, David Smith, since '70s demonizations worked so well, "meth" is
now manufactured in underground labs using who knows what, rather than the
pharmaceutical stuff that used to be sold as diet pills or stay awake pills
for truckers, over the counter. And for all the demonization, perhaps the
Americans can explain why their pilots, one of whom dropped bombs on
Canadians, are ordered to use "go pills" before they get behind the
controls of their war birds?

Kind of hypocritical don't you think? A commercial airline pilot would be
fired for using drugs the American air force is ordering its pilots to
use...Hummm..... I wonder what these pilots started off on?
