LITTLE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TOBACCO, ILLEGAL DRUGS

I applaud Kentucky's decision to use the tobacco settlement money (paid by
cigarette makers for having caused so much cancer) to give tobacco farmers
a little back-pocket cash. After all, these farmers are now making less
income because of the declining market for their carcinogenic products.

In that same vein, I propose that drug enforcement money be used to
supplement the income of drug pushers whose income is hurt by the
(hopefully) declining market for other addictive drugs, which are illegal.

For those of you who will say that there is a great difference between
those who grow tobacco and those who push illegal drugs, I say you are
quite correct. The latter can, in no way, match the former in their
capacity for causing deaths.
