HARM
Contrary to David Smith's assertion, I do see the harm in using marijuana,
(Smith Responds, Jan. 6 Herald-Tribune). The greatest potential harm is
getting arrested and thrown in jail with violent criminals. The second
greatest harm is being offered free samples of dangerous and addictive
drugs like meth or heroin.
I personally have not consumed marijuana or pork rinds for greater than 10
years. However, I don't think that I nor anyone else should be punished if
we choose to do so.
Governments cannot protect adult citizens from themselves and have
absolutely no business attempting to do so.
