ILLEGAL ALIENS COST SOCIETY A LOT

This is in response to "Big bust! Officials nab 5, confiscate 1,445 pounds
of marijuana," Jan. 9.

Welcome to the club. Isn't illegal immigration great? These folks come to do
the "jobs Americans won't do," like lugging thousands of pounds of marijuana
on their backs as they sneak over our border!

In case the people of North Carolina are not aware, there is an invasion of
these illegal aliens crossing our borders by the thousands every month, and
most of them are bringing drugs.

My state, California, is devastated by illegal aliens. In the past 10 years,
California has added 4 million illegal aliens to its population. These
illegals bring us drugs, work for low wages, use social services and are
causing the crime rate to rise.

More than 50 percent of the fierce Mexican gang members are illegal aliens
and thus deportable. In our prisons, 25 percent of the inmates are illegal
aliens.

Since our socialist governor, Gray Davis, took office four years ago, he not
only spent our surplus budget, but he has us in debt of $34 billion. He
continues to help illegal aliens financially, and we continue on the road to
bankruptcy.

I predict that state after state will suffer California's fate if they don't
stop welcoming illegal aliens.
