DRUGS, ALCOHOL NOT THE ANSWER

To the editor:

Instead of looking at the decriminalization of drugs, can I ask a simple
question to all tokers and drinkers? Why do you have this vice in the first
place? Why is it so important to you?

Tokers will go against the law; both will spend a bunch of money, throw
away their health, wreck families, get into fights and car accidents, and
for what?

If these vices are so important to you, are they controlling you? Can you
leave them alone?

Everyone says they have different reasons why they partake, but it all
comes down to the same root: "I can't face all the realities that life
throws at me and I need some peace." The problem is that this peace is a lie.

I have been there. I started with pot and ended up with MDA, acids,
mushrooms, mescaline, etc. I always got sick with alcohol--there was no
peace. It was a lie that cost me dearly. I ended up aborting a baby because
the doctor told me that this person would be born deformed

I realized that I was trying to cover my own hurts and pains, but it only
made things worse. The only lasting peace I found was by giving my life to
God. He's not illegal, he doesn't cost any money, He is not a temporary
fix, he loves and cares about me, and He gave me lasting peace. No drug or
alcohol ever did what God did in my life.
