PATRIOT ACT ENCOURAGES POLICE OVERREACHING
In response to "Judge sent to new job; police had complaints" (May
5): The story about Judge Norelli being reassigned after police
complaints is incredible.
Defense attorneys are an equal party before the bench -- would we
allow them the same power?
The drug war is responsible for this kind of incident. It weakened
the Constitution so much that it couldn't withstand the Patriot Act's
worst abuses.
