4/20 ASSUMPTIONS
Hey Allan, first of all, were you being paid to say peaceful? The
drughouse stabbing was not in Grande Prairie so don't make that one
incident sound like it reflects on this city.
Do you not think that the police are working on busting those crack
dealers? I believe the police have enough resources to deal with
crack dealers on a daily basis and the dope smokers in Muskoseepi
Park once a year. Smoking marijuana is illegal and I'm sure if there
was no police presence in the park that day someone would be
complaining about that too.
You assumed a lot in your letter ... assumed the police kept the
media away from the event and assumed people were arrested. You must
know the old saying about assuming. Who in their right mind would
believe the police control the media?
The local detachment now has around 100 officers, you mentioned that
almost the entire force was in the park.
I think you were assuming again. There were approximately 20. That's
not even close to the entire force.
In the future, stop trying to sensationalize your story with facts
that are mostly assumed.
I believe our officers are doing a great job. Drop by the courthouse
and see what's up ... you will probably be surprised.
As much as we do complain about our justice system, I am sure it's
better than the Russian system. It's hard to imagine your comparing
what the police did in the park to what takes place in Russia!
So, stop assuming, get your facts straight and go to the courthouse.
Once you do this, I will anticipate another letter from you.
