COPS MISUSE DRUG LAWS
To the editor:
Re: "Rough 7 days for police culminates in suspensions," Jan. 26.
Drug prohibition began at the beginning of the 20th century as a means of
protecting virtuous, white, Christian women from the seductive wiles of
blacks (marijuana), Mexicans (marijuana) and Chinese (opium) by banning the
drugs used by those non-white minorities. Today the cops are happy to make
use of this evil law to harass and control all those whose lifestyle or
appearance offends them.
