U.S. ADDS TO LIST OF NARCOTICS SUSPECTS

WASHINGTON -- The Treasury Department said Thursday that its Office of
Foreign Assets Control has added the names of 59 businesses and 78 people to
the government's list of suspected narcotics traffickers. All are in Spain
and Colombia.

As a result, U.S. banks must block any financial assets found in this
country and in U.S. territories belonging to those on the list. Americans
are barred from doing business with them.

The Treasury office said all 137 names are linked to the Cali drug cartel's
international business and financial network. The cartel once controlled
most of the world's cocaine trade.
