WAR ON MARIJUANA A FORM OF MADNESS

The advocates of marijuana being decriminalized or legalized are not dead
wrong as the former pot "addict" would like us to believe (Letters, Feb. 1).

The truth is that marijuana cannot cause death by overdose. It is nontoxic.
Aspirin, alcohol, and even raw potatoes cannot boast that claim.

It is true that many people who use pot want it decriminalized. Can you
blame them? After all, the use of it is, at worst, a vice, not a crime.

Allow the history of Prohibition and the remembrance of blood shed in the
name of freedom to help facilitate the end to this madness.

God is perfect, man is not. Man made booze, but God made pot.
