BACK MEDICAL MARIJUANA LAW
THE fact that jurors are sorry they convicted Ed Rosenthal (Opinion, Feb. 6)
is no surprise. After all, the medical marijuana law has been on
California's books for years and is well-supported -- except for some key
people in Washington.
We are long overdue for some remedial action. What are our senators and
representatives afraid of? I have heard no reports of users of medical
marijuana knocking over banks or robbing suburbanites to support their
habit. The apparent presumption of lawmakers to decide what is medically
useful is outlandish.
We need to send a message to our representatives in government that if they
don't take action to support our decision for compassion, we'll elect
someone who will.
