GO-FAST BOATS ARRIVE
Three Go-Fast boats, donated to the Jamaican police force by the
United States Government in an ongoing anti-narcotics assistance
programme, arrived in the island earlier this month.
The boats are to be used by the Marine Police who, along with the
Jamaica Defence Force Coast Guard, patrol the island's coasts.
National Security Minister Dr Peter had last year told the country
that we would be getting the boats from the Americans.
Here, one of the boats is being off loaded from a ship on arrival in
Kingston. The other photo shows the three boats docked in the harbour.
