POLICE NEED FUNDING HIKE TO BATTLE DRUG TRAFFICKERS

Our city, which is a relatively small city in the big scheme of
things, has a big drug problem.

Before I was of legal age it was cheaper and easier to buy pot than
alcohol and now that I am of legal age it is even easier and cheaper to
get drugs of all kinds.

Everywhere I turn someone is dealing drugs.

When is Mayor Bill Smith and his council going to realize that our
police service needs more money to help combat the drug trade problem in
our city.

I guess the city will wake up once an innocent person is gunned down in
the crossfire of rival gang members and it is not a matter of if -- but
when.
