NOT ALL CALIFORNIANS BELIVE MARIJUANA IS NOT A MEDICINAL
SOLUTION

Libba Jackson-D'Ambrosi should read the history books before writing a
column asserting that marijuana is not medicine. For thousands of
years, cannabis has been a valued, safe and effective folk medicine
and was still in the U.S. Pharmacopoeia until 1940, removed only for
political reasons. In all of recorded history, it has never caused an
overdose.

I think Jackson-D'Ambrosi should apologize for ignorance to the
thousands of my fellow Californians who will testify with their lives
to the medical benefits of this miraculous plant. Libba also should
not rely on the federal government for information, which has vested
reasons for keeping this drug illegal.
