STRONG STINK

To the editor:

Can someone please inform Steve Sebelius that the federal government has
(for more than 50 years) been doing exactly what he finds offensive ("A war
against the people," Feb. 6 column).

Since I doubt Mr. Sebelius has been living in a cave, it appears he's
finally been gored by the same ox he and his left-leaning friends have
nurtured, justified and defended for the past half century.

If he wants to blame anyone for the marijuana fiasco in California, he
should look in the mirror. For it was he and his short-sighted accomplices
who relegated the important political concept of "states' rights" to nothing
more than code words for segregation and racism.

All Americans have had to cope with the products of this centralized,
fascist-based thinking. The fact that Mr. Sebelius finally smells the stink
is a good thing. How selective he is in holding his nose will test his
integrity.
