GETTING OURS BACK
Samantha Spivack cleverly tries to convince us that Ed Rosenthal fell
victim to federal drug laws because California accepts about $50 billion in
federal funds for things like highways and other items ("The feds versus
Ed," Feb. 11). A "sugar daddy," she calls the feds.
What she doesn't say is that Californians paid more than $96 billion in
federal taxes last year. We're not getting charity; we're not even getting
our share.
