SOCIETY'S DOUBLE STANDARD?

This letter is just to comment on what a double standard there is in our
society. This happens every single day, usually to people that are sports
players, the rich and popular. I am enraged over the article in Wednesday's
paper concerning Brandon Everage being arrested for drug possession.

If that had been me or someone not associated with sports or the wealthy,
we would be sent to prison, no question about it. Why are there rules for
the poor and a different set of rules for the affluent? Money, of course,
is the answer to that and we know it.

I think I will carry this article in my purse just to remind myself of the
injustice there is in society.
