DRUGS: MINDLESS REPITION DAMAGES CREDIBILITY
Dear Editor,
Rich Coleman's mindless repeating of the lies and exaggerations of the
police and tabloid journalists does nothing to enhance his credibility as
an elected official, never mind as a government minister [Courts need
anti-pot push, Jan. 31, Langley Advance News].
He seems bemused, but do you suppose that, just maybe, the relatively
lenient judgments given to cannabis offenders simply reflect, I don't know,
maybe something as mysterious as the current will of the public?
The Liberals love to defend everything they do by claiming a mandate was
given by the public, so how do they justify pushing for a harder line
against cannabis, when the majority of BC residents want the laws to be
liberalized?
